Voris Mechanical, Inc. (VMI) is a third-generation, full- service mechanical contractor. Known as a professional firm with exceptional skills in construction/installation of piping, HVAC, commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R service, the company’s reputation of excellence is earned through continued performance for a diverse range of commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental and municipal clients.
The business was started May 8, 1946 on Menard Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, as the George Voris Company. In the mid-1950s, the business moved to 2414 W. Fulton Street in Chicago. Upon the death of George J. Voris and his wife, Marie, sons George F. and William J. Voris inherited the business and ran it until they dissolved their partnership in 1980.
George F. and Celine Voris started Voris Mechanical, Inc. in April 1981, and its headquarters was built in Roselle, Illinois. Voris Mechanical, Inc. then moved to its current location in Glendale Heights, Illinois, in 1990.
George and Celine’s daughter-in-law, Kimberley, and son, Gerald Voris, currently run the full-service, women-owned, mechanical contracting business with the same passion and expertise the company has been known for over the decades.
